DESCRIPTION

BstE II λ DNA marker consists of 15 fragments ranging in size from 117 to 14140 bp. Their asym-metric distribution makes determination of molecu-lar weight easier.
Two fragments containing the cos sites hybridize to each other resulting in additional band of 14140 bp at the top. This can be avoided by heating the mar-ker to 80°C for 15 minutes and cooling it on ice.
Hpa II pBS DNA Marker consists of 13 fragments ranging in size from 26 to 712 bp. Their asymmetric distribution makes determination of molecular weight easier.

Both markers loaded simultaneously in one lane and run about 1 hour on 1% agarose gel.

50 µg in 500 µl (100 rxns) loading buffer (0.25% bromphenol blue, 0.25% xylene cyanol FF, 40% sucrose in water), the marker is ready to use. Load 5-10 µl in one lane.
