DESCRIPTION
λ DNA Marker, EcoRI digest DNA Marker consists of 6 fragments ranging in size from 3530 to 21226 bp.
Their asymmetric distribution makes determination of meolecular weight easier.
Two fragments (3530 and 21226 bp) containing the cos sites of bacteriaphage lambda may hybridise to each other resulting in an additional band at 24756 bp. This can be avoided by heating the marker to 80°C for 15 minutes and cooling on ice.
The marker is ready to use.
To demonstrate the mobility of the DNA fragments, 1 µg of marker was loaded onto a 0.7% agarose gel.
